This test is designed as a comprehensive evaluation for prospective interns, focusing on their understanding of open knowledge ecosystems and digital tools. The exam will consist of a total of 40 randomized objective questions, carefully distributed across four key domains: 10 questions on the Introduction to Wikipedia and Open Knowledge, which will assess familiarity with collaborative knowledge creation and its global impact; 10 questions on Copyright and Licensing Rules, testing awareness of Creative Commons, fair use, and open-access principles; 10 questions on Digital Tools for Open Knowledge, evaluating practical knowledge of platforms and workflows that support digital preservation and dissemination; and 10 questions on Wikidata and Analysis, which will measure skills in structured data, metadata, and analytical approaches to knowledge repositories. In addition to the objective section, the test will include a descriptive component, where candidates are required to answer any two questions from a set, allowing them to demonstrate deeper critical thinking, articulation, and applied understanding of open knowledge practices. This balanced format ensures that participants are tested not only on factual knowledge but also on their ability to engage with concepts meaningfully, making it a crucial step in the selection process for the Summer Internship program.
